WINTER SAILING 2017-18

The committee have drawn up revised criteria for winter access as below:

Club house is now Winterised which means:

Power is still on but no heating and no drinking water.

The main water supply has been turned off/system drained.

Toilet- use the disability toilet only with self flush system (Bucket).

We have two sailing dates scheduled – Dec 17 and Jan 28

Club boats will only be available on scheduled sailing days and if used then the helm has responsibility to return boat to the winterised condition.

Ribs – will be kept on shore behind gates and locked on trailers.

Members can still sail at their own risk at other times without safety cover but should bear in mind the minimal services at the clubhouse.

If sailing please take due account of the weather conditions and local forecast, and wear appropriate winter clothing. There should be at least one person on shore and it is also advisable to let some one else know your schedule.

For paddlers there should be a minimum of 3 x paddlers on the water and again let someone else know your schedule.
